The Drawing Rooms of Berry

21 Wattamolla Rd, Woodhill NSW 2535, Australia

How to Find Us

We’re located about 2 hours south of Sydney, and 2.5 hours north east of Canberra. We are under 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Berry village, and 20 minutes to Kangaroo Valley, 45 minutes to Jervis Bay, and just 15 minutes to the spectacular Seven Mile Beach. From Berry, head east on Queen St towards the roundabout and then under the Berry Bypass, which turns into Woodhill Mountain Rd. Stay on there for 6.5km, then turn left onto Wattamolla Rd and then after 250m your destination will be on the left (21 Wattamolla Rd). The entrance has sandstone walls and is clearly signed. Enter the driveway, and Reception is to the left, while the right fork leads to the four lodges, which are each clearly signed.

* Please be aware that some GPS systems will have us down as Woodhill, instead of Berry – both are correct!

DECEMBER 2023 – ROAD UPDATE

In March 2022, there was a landslide below Wattamolla Rd, which caused the road to collapse and in July 2022 there was a landslide onto Woodhill Mountain Rd, (which is the road between Wattamolla Rd – our road) and Berry. Both of these roads are now safe and reopened with single lane access (and will be fully repaired by February 2024).

There is 24 hour access on the roads on Fridays and Saturdays, under traffic control.

On Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, Woodhill Mountain Rd is completely CLOSED AT NIGHT, from 7pm to 6am the following morning.

However, the road will be OPEN at night over Christmas (Friday 22nd Dec to Saturday 6th Jan inclusive).

For the nights with road closures, it is best to plan on having an early dinner if eating out in Berry, or getting takeaway and leaving Berry by 6:45pm sharp to make it back before the road closure. Or of course cook dinner in the lodge or eat out in Kangaroo Valley. The alternative route from Berry after 7pm is via Kangaroo Valley Rd and then approaching from the western end of Wattamolla Rd, this route takes about 35 minutes longer, and is quite a winding road, so not ideal at night.
