Property Map

The owner's home (including Reception) is the first building that can be seen over the large dam upon entering the property.

Continue driving to come to a fork in the road with Reception to the left or the 4 lodges to the right. Each lodge is well-signed, with Rainforest the first one on the right, then Treetops further along to the left. To reach Lyrebird, drive past Treetops, then take the left at the next fork; or for Wattamolla, take the right fork.

Each lodge is well separated from the other lodges and the owner's home, both by distance, but also with trees, hedges and garden beds.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

At The Drawing Rooms, we are committed to welcoming all guests equally. We are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring all our guests - from different backgrounds, cultures, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, abilities and perspectives - feel safe, respected and welcome. And, we’re delighted to have undertaken Travel Proud training and certification to improve our knowledge of what’s important to LGBTQ+ guests. We really want you to have an incredible stay with us! So if you have any particular needs, concerns or feedback, please reach out – we are here to help.

Please know also that Berry as a town provides a warm and inclusive welcome to all people. Creating an inclusive environment is a top priority for the Berry Chamber of Commerce, and one way this is expressed is with the beautiful rainbow welcome banner outside The Berry Chocolatier.

We are dedicated to being as accessible and inclusive as our physical location allows (on a mountain in a rural area). You may find it useful to refer to our Accessibility Guide for more information. Please do reach out to us if you have any particular needs or access requirements – let us know how we can support you to have a wonderful stay with us, and we will do our utmost to assist.

There are many accessible cafes and shops locally, including Pickled Ink and The Rutledge which have wheelchair ramps. Boongaree Rotary Nature Play Park also has dedicated accessible facilities.

Our commitment to sustainability

In hosting guests at our beautiful estate, we are committed to sustainable operations, environmental responsibility and contributing to conservation, community and climate change action. We understand that being sustainable means acting for the good of our planet (environment and climate) and our people (community).

From recycling initiatives and solar panels powering our lodges, to sustainable water management and designing our garden with sustainable principles, we are constantly striving to reduce our impact on this land. We encourage our guests to connect with Aboriginal culture locally by providing information both beforehand and during their stay on tours and experiences. We also operate a formal ‘Support Local’ policy which documents our efforts to support our community by sourcing food and wine locally, providing regular employment for local businesses, and consistently supporting our local schools and community organisations.

Some of the key measures we take to minimise our environmental impact are:

  • Providing refillable luxury Australian-made bathroom amenities (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap) rather than disposable individual bottles
  • Sourcing food and wine locally (within a 20km radius) wherever possible
  • Solar panels on-site power our lodges
  • Providing dedicated recycling bins and coffee grounds bins and empowering guests to assist us with this. All food waste is fed to our chickens or composted on site
  • All grey and brown water is used to water our garden
  • Our garden has been designed with sustainability and climate change at the forefront, with native and naturalistic planting prioritised
  • Encouraging guests to reuse their towels during their stay (extra/replacement towels are of course available on request and provided as standard for stays of 3 days or longer)
  • Encouraging guests to switch off lights, heating and air conditioning when they leave their lodge.

For more information, please take a look at our Sustainability Plan.
